Custom-built hotel front desk
This is a small project that we built for a hotel in downtown Toronto. The owners contacted us via our website. After a short call we decided to set up a meeting and visit the site. We measured the entry hallway where the old reception desk was going to be replaced with a new one. The requirement was also to upgrade the new reception desk with hidden compartments and and you countertop for the computer finally there was also a special requirement for a cabinet with no bottom where the guests could store their baggage temporarily.
After taking the measurements we quickly drew a 3D model using Sketchup 3d software. Would that 3d model and we went back to the client went through several revisions and once we we are happy with the final results we moved on weight creating detailed shop drawings or our carpenters.
The final shop drawings based on the 3d model where reviewed once again and sign by the client. After the signature we went and started building the peace in our shop. During the process we usually send pictures of the progress to our clients so we keep them updated.
Once the furniture was finished - all pieces were in place and end all finishes were according to the client desires, we packaged or safely and loaded it onto our truck.
The installation took a few hours and everything went well. We believe that the stuff are happy using their new reception desk and they have easier work with their guests.
